"...The Flash Monkey production of Cabaret Casbah
that is taking the Capital by storm"- 'World's
Fair' March '07
"Expect: No backing music for the dancers here, it's
all live. Flash monkey nights are lushly stacked with phenomenally impressive
acts... .... Seriously high-end."- Bizarre
Magazine: April 2007
"The Flash Monkey
are ideally placed to bring together some of the biggest talents in the world
of steamy burlesque & cabaret. Growing on the huge success of Burlesque Bazaar,
The Flash Monkey are broadening out this year with Cabaret Casbah which is set
to delight its audience with show stopping entertainment featuring yet another
alluring selection of music, dance, circus sideshows & all with the usual good
measure of public interaction. Misfits & socialites alike are encouraged to arrive
dressed as the purveyors of fine style in inventive attire & to behave in a manner
as eloquently flamboyant or as smoulderingly sultry as they desire."
Notion Magazine
Time
Out Critics Choice...not just burlesque teasing
but a whole variety show of late night entertainment.... Floorshows, live music,
singers & circus acts as only Flash Monkey know how,.... turning London into something
like a darker version of 'Moulin Rouge', & what a great thing that is! The Flash
Monkey presents Burlesque Bazaar will certainly take the suitably glamourous Cafe
de Paris up a notch or seven".
" A variety show
often including striptease', is how the dictionary defines burlesque. True, in
a way but, but oh so inadequate a definition, because one night in the company
of The Flash Monkey leaves you stunned, amazed, amused & utterly pleasured."
London & More
"For
an example of how live music can energize such a night, head for The Flash Monkey's
nights...... Decadence - so much a part of The Flash Monkey...."

excites and grips like little else. It is a cocktail of contradictions, modern
yet traditional, classy with a dollop of steamy sexiness, charming whilst ridiculous.
Ultimately The Flash Monkey provide entertainment at it's best. Pretenders beware."

Lenny.
(Leonard George Fowler AKA Lenny Blonde/ The Little Dragon/ Crouching Tiger-Little
Dragon/ The Fire Breathing Sultan/ Dwarf Elvis).
Our Dear friend
Lenny died on Saturday 23rd June '07 as the result of heart failure &, perhaps,
from partying too hard.
Lenny was the best natured person you could
ever hoped to have met & rather impressive in character; he was exceptionally
generous, humorous, convivial, kind, courageous, boundlessly enthusiastic, honest
& loving. He also had plenty of 'Rock'n' Roll edge' but was always a complete
gentleman, not to mention a hugely charismatic, wonderful entertainer!
He will be unbearably missed.
The world is already a very different &
poorer place without Lenny; it is though, certainly a better place for him having
been here!
Any future shows, will
be dedicated in spirit to Lenny.
